With its own entrance and direct access, Hall 7 offers a central forum for professional lighting solutions from numerous big-name manufacturers and specialists.

Greater visibility and fast-tracking for the lighting industry – The elektrotechnik 2027 showcases light and lighting technology together in a thematically dedicated hall. Hall 7 enjoys its own entrance and direct passageways to Halls 4 and 6. From 16 to 18 February 2027, big-name manufacturers and specialists will be meeting up with the electrical trade and wholesalers, lighting and electrical designers, architects, users and local authority decision-makers.

Dortmund, 20 July 2026 – Light is a key component in any cutting-edge building and infrastructure design. Energy efficiency, smart control systems, safety, quality of life, and design are increasingly planned as a single, unified, integrated concept. The elektrotechnik 2027 offers the sector a distinct and highly visible profile within the building, energy and industrial technology trade fair. A dedicated entrance offers direct access to the light-filled area. At the same time, the thematically specialised hall remains closely linked via passageways to Halls 4 and 6, showcasing a comprehensive range of electrical engineering products and services.

Big-name exhibitors presenting everything from individual light fittings to networked lighting systems

The range on show in Hall 7 covers a wide variety of applications and requirements for professional lighting solutions. These include offerings for office and administration buildings, industry and logistics, educational and healthcare facilities, retail and public buildings, as well as for outdoor areas, traffic routes and municipal infrastructure. More still, smart lighting control systems, sensor technology, lighting management, and security and emergency lighting are also on show. Exhibitors who have already booked their places for 2027 include numerous renowned companies and specialists from the lighting sector. TRILUX specialises in energy-efficient and interconnected lighting solutions for offices, industry, retail and outdoor areas; RZB offers a wide range of indoor, outdoor and emergency lighting; and BEGA specialises in high-quality architectural lighting and intelligent lighting control. LEDVANCE offers a comprehensive range of products, from lamps and professional lighting solutions to components for lighting management and smart control systems.

Brumberg develops professional LED solutions for sectors including architecture, offices, retail and industry, whilst Zumtobel provides extensive lighting and lighting management solutions for a wide range of building types. Glamox specialises in professional indoor and outdoor lighting for nonresidential buildings and demanding industrial applications, whilst Regiolux offers lighting systems for various sectors, including industry, logistics, offices, education, and retail. INOTEC specialises in emergency and safety lighting as well as dynamic escape routing, whilst PRACHT focuses on efficient and recyclable lighting for industrial and damp environments. STEINEL combines lighting with sensor technology and smart, networked lighting management. The hall brings both providers of a vast range of professional lighting solutions together with specialists for specific applications and technical requirements.

Relevance for skilled trades, planning, and operations

The new structure is not aimed solely at dyed-in-the-wool lighting specialists. The electrical trade and the wholesale sector are tapping into new areas of business at the intersection where lighting, sensor technology and building automation meet. Lighting and electrical designers, architectural and engineering firms, operators, industrial companies, energy suppliers and local authorities alike get to see the big picture of technical, design and energy-related solutions all in one place.

Dedicated specialist platform complements themed hall

The new themed hall will be complemented by a dedicated specialist platform focusing on lighting technology and design. The LiTG (German Society for Lighting Technology and Design) will be taking charge of substantive collaboration. The consolidation of content in Hall 7 sees the elektrotechnik systematically developing the lighting solutions scope on show. It creates a clearly organised forum for product presentations, personal business interaction and dialogue between manufacturers, the skilled trades, planners, architects, and users.
