elektrotechnik 2023 is set to present an extensive, diverse and comprehensive range of offerings in a host of subject areas. At the joint stand 'Touchpoint Innovation Digital' (5.B10), suppliers will focus on products and services surrounding current digital trends in the industry, and – as the name suggests – trying things out hands-on is what this stand is all about. In tandem with this, the theory behind the equipment on show will be explained in a specialist industrial technology forum (5.B06).

Dortmund, 15 December 2022 – The elektrotechnik show is to focus on cutting-edge topics such as the use of artificial intelligence, modern measurement technology and production systems, energy efficiency and IT security. The joint stand 'Touchpoint Innovation Digital' will be focusing on innovative applications related to digitalisation, with several individual suppliers presenting their products and services – including innovations just waiting to be experienced – while allowing visitors to inspect them, learn how they work, and try them out.

The stand will have a wide range of subject matter on hand, covering segments such as 'Data Analysis' for optimising corporate and production processes, 'Predictive Maintenance' (i.e. intelligent maintenance of plant and equipment), 'Cyber Security', and 'Building Information Modelling' (BIM) which is about walk-in digital models ('digital twins') of plants and buildings using the example of environmental technology.

Visitors can also look forward to information on 'AI-based Assistance Systems' and 'Business Ecosystems' using the example of building management. The latter uses data from building survey drones as a basis for offering services related to energy management, insurance, repair planning and deployment of tradespeople. A drone will be in use at the venue for demonstration purposes. The up-to-the-minute topic of 'Virtual and Augmented Reality' will also be featured. In short, 'Touchpoint Innovation Digital' will cover pretty much all relevant high-tech trends. These will be presented by Industrial Analytics Lab GmbH, Point8 GmbH, Delta Umwelttechnik GmbH, ImmoTech Plattform GmbH, MAMEDO GmbH, viality AG, Fraunhofer ITWM and others.

The innovations and techniques on show will be of particular interest to manufacturers and producers, with tradespeople and planners also in the target audience. As digitalisation is continuing its advance in nearly all sectors, the 'Touchpoint Innovation Digital' stand will offer everyone in the industry up-to-date ideas for their specific needs. The stand is supported by organisations such as the Dortmund business associations, the North Rhine Westphalia IT Networkers, the Institute for Virtual Reality (DIVR), wisnet and w.i.r.i (wisnet innovation research institute).

Industrial Technology Forum (5.B06)

The Industrial Technology Forum powered by VDE Verlag will offer theory content each day on varying focus topics. On Wednesday (10:00 to 12:30 hrs), it will deal with energy efficiency in the commercial sector in general and, in particular, on industrial estates. Suitable input will be provided by people like the Effizienz-Agentur.NRW which will be presenting a model project for existing industrial estates using the example of Duisburg's Kaßlerfeld and Neuenkamp estates. The topic under consideration on Thursday (also 10:00 to 12:30 hrs) will be energy management in relation to things like preventive maintenance, productivity gains and flexible control. The presentations on Friday morning will be dedicated to the topic of IoT for small and medium-sized enterprises.



The daily specialist programme between 13:00 and 15:00 hrs will include interviews and talks by 'Touchpoint Innovation Digital' on topics such as the use of operational data to optimise production, artificial intelligence, sustainability, process optimisation, IT security, remote maintenance and real-time condition monitoring.
